The magic of another Tenerife sunset

by John Robertson

Everyone loves sunshine and a warm climate so where could be better than a destination that enjoys both, pretty much all year round? Known for its stunning coastline, looming mountains and vibrant culture, Tenerife is not only the largest but also the most popular of the Canary Islands. Along with the rest of the Canary Islands, Tenerife often has the perceived image of the perfect family holiday destination. In many respects this is true. However, it also has many attractions for discerning travellers looking for a slice of Canarian culture. With a coastline that stretches almost 270km the beaches are in abundance and with new, bustling resorts and traditional towns and villages it is the perfect destination for adults looking to escape.

For those looking where to start, Southern Tenerife boasts the sophisticated resort of Costa Adeje. With numerous stylish restaurants and modern hotels it is ideal for those looking for adult luxury holidays in Tenerife. Costa Adeje is far less commercialised than the also popular Playa de Las Americas, which is around a twenty minute drive away.
